Introducing the enhanced LIFE Series and new LIFE Flexi Rider
Commencing March 22, 2010, the Sun Life “LIFE Series” range will include a new LIFE Flexi Rider that helps cater for the changing needs of customers at different life stages. There are several key benefits to this rider:
- Guaranteed Insurability Option – Significant life events, happy or sad, often entail additional long-term financial obligations. When the Insured celebrates his/her first wedding anniversary, gives birth to or adopts a child, graduates, emigrates, or faces the unfortunate death of a direct family member, you can purchase a new whole-life plan offered by Sun Life for the same Insured without further evidence of insurability, and regardless of the insured's health condition at the time.
- Unemployment Benefit – Unemployment may occur at any time. During this transitional period you can apply for suspension of the premium payment for up to 365 days so that you can focus on seeking a new job while fulfilling your financial obligations.
- Annuity Option – By using some or all of your policy’s Surrender Value to buy an annuity plan offered by Sun Life, after retirement you will receive a regular fixed income until age 100.
- Retirement Option – The retirement option allows you to convert a portion of the Face Amount to cash to satisfy your retirement needs. This option is only applicable to LIFE Super Plus.
