Sun Life Hong Kong named title sponsor of “Move for Maggie’s 2023” Raising funds to enhance the well-being of cancer patients and their families

Hong Kong, Sep 26, 2023 – Sun Life Hong Kong Limited (“Sun Life Hong Kong” or “the Company”) announced today its title sponsorship of “Move for Maggie’s 2023”, an annual fundraising event organized by Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre (“the Centre”). The sponsorship aims to actively promote the fundraising efforts and maximize the event’s exposure. The funds raised through this initiative will play a crucial role in supporting the Centre’s provision of free and professional cancer care services, with a focus on mental health, physical and social well-being of cancer patients and their families.

With Sun Life Hong Kong’s support, the fundraising event aims to raise around HK$1 million in total. This funding will enable the Centre to offer 10,000 sessions of mind-body-spirit workshops at no cost to individuals affected by cancer. These workshops allow participants to engage in activities that promote relaxation, emotional expression and overall well-being, empowering them to live with, live through and live beyond cancer.

From now until December 2023, Sun Life Hong Kong’s staff, financial advisors and Clients and all citizens are cordially invited to participate as fundraisers and contribute to this meaningful cause. Participants can set fundraising goals by taking up challenges such as running, hiking, biking, swimming, or even engaging in activities like yoga, cooking or singing. By doing so, fundraisers aim to “move” their family members and friends by getting themselves “moving” in order to raise funds for the Centre.
