Terms and Conditions of the "Insure and Get a Chance to Win Lucky Draw" ("Lucky Draw"):
By participating in this Lucky Draw, participants will be deemed to have understood and agreed to the Terms and Conditions of this Lucky Draw.
1. This Lucky Draw is organized by Sun Life Hong Kong Limited ("Sun Life Hong Kong"). The promotion period is from April 14, 2025 to May 11, 2025 (both days inclusive) (“Promotion Period”).
2. This Lucky Draw is only applicable to any of the new purchase of the Basic Plans from Sun Life Hong Kong (excluding SunPlus, SunCover Free Personal Accident Protection Plan, Investment-linked Assurance Scheme) applied during the Promotion Period (“Eligible Policy”).
3. To participate in this Lucky Draw, policy owners must fulfil all conditions listed below :
a. is aged 18 or above; and
b. have a valid correspondence address, email address and/or mobile number registered in Sun Life Hong Kong; and
c. Eligible Policy must be issued to the policy owners by Sun Life Hong Kong on or before May 15, 2025.
("Eligible Participant")
4. This Lucky Draw is also open to employees or insurance agents of Sun Life Hong Kong.
5. The policy applications listed below are not eligible for this Lucky Draw:
a. Policy renewals; or
b. Application of new policies through policy conversion/ plan change/ migration arrangement; or
c. Policy owners who have submitted any policy application before the Promotion Period but withdrew the application or terminated the issued policy and then reapplied for the same products that were withdrawn or terminated during the Promotion Period; or
d. Premium Financing / Policy Financing; or
e. Policy replacement
6. Eligible Participant will automatically enter this Lucky Draw without any further registration. Each Eligible Participant is entitled to an entry to this Lucky Draw for each application of each Eligibly Policy. There is no limit to the number of Lucky Draw entry for each Eligible Participant.
7. There are 24 prizes in total and the total number of winners is 24. Each of the winners (“Winner”) will receive two HKD1,298 tickets of Sun Life’s Exclusive show of Cirque du Soleil KOOZA (“Prize”). Each Eligible Participant is entitled to one Prize only.
8. The Lucky Draw will be conducted on May 16, 2025. Eligibility to participating in this Lucky Draw does not guarantee winning any Prize. Winners will be drawn among Eligible Policy numbers randomly by the computer system of Sun Life Hong Kong.
9. The Lucky Draw result (including the Winners' name and the first 4 alphanumeric characters of Eligible Policy number) will be published in The Standard and Sing Tao Daily in Hong Kong and on Sun Life Hong Kong website (www.sunlife.com.hk) on May 21, 2025. Sun Life Hong Kong reserves the right to re-verify the Winners' identities after the result is published (including but not limited to the time of the Prize collection). In the event that a Winner is found not to meet the eligibility criteria as stated in Clause 3 above, his/her qualification will be cancelled without further notice. The Prize awarded to him/her will be forfeited and will be given to the next Winner in sequence on the waiting list, which will be drawn on the same day according to Clause 8 above. For the avoidance of doubt, Sun Life Hong Kong shall have the final decision and no objections will be accepted.
10. Eligible Policies applied by the Eligible Participants and being drawn as Winners in this Lucky Draw must remain in force and all payable premiums shall have been settled by the Winners at the time of Prize collection. In case a Winner cancel an Eligible Policy during the cooling-off period, Sun Life Hong Kong will only refund the actual premium and levy paid, his/her qualification will be cancelled without further notice. The Prize awarded to him/her will be forfeited and will be given to the next Winner in sequence on the waiting list.
11. Winners will be notified about the Prize collection arrangement via email and/or SMS within 10 working days after the Lucky Draw result is published. Email and/or SMS notification will be sent to the valid email address and/or mobile number registered with Sun Life Hong Kong. Winners are required to collect their Prizes according to the instructions and Terms and Conditions stated in the email and/or SMS notification.
12. Sun Life Hong Kong is not responsible for verifying the information (including but not limited to the correspondence address, email address and/or mobile number) registered by the Eligible Participant in Sun Life Hong Kong. Should there be any mis-delivery of email / SMS notification and Prize resulted from inaccurate / incorrect information provided by the Eligible Participant, Sun Life Hong Kong will not re-issue the Prize.
13. Email / SMS notification or other Prize collection documents issued to the Winners will not be re-issued in case of loss or damage, as the case maybe.
14. The Prize must be collected in Hong Kong during the Prize collection period as specified in the email and/or SMS notification. If the Winners fail to collect the Prize in Hong Kong within the specified Prize collection period for whatever reason, they will be disqualified and will have their Prize forfeited without further notice. Sun Life Hong Kong reserves the rights to deal with all forfeited Prize in any manner deemed fit.
15. Winners will not be allowed to choose the seats and show date. The Prize can only be used within the period specified on the ticket. Each ticket admits one person only. Photocopies are not accepted.
16. No transfer, refund, cash redemption or substitution for the Prizes by Winners is permitted.
17. Sun Life Hong Kong is not the supplier of the Prizes. Sun Life Hong Kong shall assume no responsibility and liability in respect of the Prizes. The relevant supplier is solely responsible for all services offered to Winners. Any disputes arising from and relating to the Prizes shall be resolved by the Winners and the supplier directly. The use of the Prizes is also subject to Event Terms and Conditions as determined by the supplier.
18. In respect of the Prizes and their related products and services, no warranty is expressed or implied. Sun Life Hong Kong specifically disclaims the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
19. If the Eligible Participants or Winners violate any of these Terms and Conditions or commit any illegal acts that result in any losses on the part of Sun Life Hong Kong or any third parties, or make false representation or statement, or violate applicable laws or regulations, the relevant Eligible Participants or Winners shall be liable for all the losses. Sun Life Hong Kong reserves the right to deny the Winner to receive the Prize and there shall be no claim against Sun Life Hong Kong whatsoever.
20. By participating in this Lucky Draw, Eligible Participants understand that the provision of his/her personal data to Sun Life Hong Kong is voluntary and further agree that:
(i) they have been informed of the Sun Life Hong Kong’s Privacy Policy Statement (www.sunlife.com/sl/pslf-hong-kong/en/privacy/) and Personal Information Collection Statement (https://www.sunlife.com.hk/en/client-support/personal-information-collection/); and
(ii) the personal information of the Eligible Participants (including the name, date of birth, correspondence address, email address and/or mobile number) will be used for the administrative purposes of the Lucky Draw, including but not limited to the announcement of the Lucky Draw result, notifying winners about the Prize collection, verifying their identity at the time of Prize collection and for compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations; and
(iii) the personal data collected from the Eligible Participants may be disclosed and transferred to third-party service providers (in or outside Hong Kong) who support Sun Life Hong Kong in the Lucky Draw and to the competent government authorities for the purpose of collection in paragraph (ii) above; and
(iv) the Eligible Participants have the right to access their own personal data and the right to make corrections of the same by sending a written request to The Manager, Customer Service Centre, Sun Life Hong Kong Limited, G/F, Cheung Kei Center Tower B, 18 Hung Luen Road, Hunghom, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
21. All Eligible Participants in this Lucky Draw can enjoy, where applicable, other promotions offered by Sun Life Hong Kong, unless otherwise provided.
22. Unless expressly provided in these Terms and Conditions, Sun Life Hong Kong does not give any assurances or promises of any kind nor does Sun Life Hong Kong give any representations, warranties, undertakings of whatever nature to the Eligible Participants or any third parties.
23. Sun Life Hong Kong is an insurance company. However, nothing herein is an offer to sell or a solicitation to buy any security, insurance product or other products or services by Sun Life Hong Kong.
24. If for any reason this Lucky Draw is not capable of running as planned, due to an event of force majeure or any other cause outside Sun Life Hong Kong reasonable control, Sun Life Hong Kong reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Lucky Draw without prior notice.
25. In case of any dispute arising from this Lucky Draw, the decision of Sun Life Hong Kong shall be final and conclusive. If this Lucky Draw is disrupted or affected in its administration, system security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct due to any reason, including but not limited to computer virus infections, worms, trojan horses, server intrusions, tampering, unauthorized interference, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sun Life Hong Kong, Sun Life Hong Kong reserves the right and discretion to disqualify any participant and to reclaim the relevant privileges without prior notice.
26. Sun Life Hong Kong has the sole and absolute discretion in, according to relevant clauses of the Terms and Conditions, determining a participant’s eligibility to receive the Prize. If Sun Life Hong Kong discovers at any time, whether after or during the Promotion Period, that any participant has failed to comply with the Terms and Conditions, Sun Life Hong Kong is entitled to disqualify the participant from participating in this Lucky Draw and receiving the Prize.
27. Sun Life Hong Kong reserves the right to interpret the Terms and Conditions. For any dispute arising from this Lucky Draw, Sun Life Hong Kong’s decision shall be final and conclusive.
28. A person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions shall have no right to enforce any of the terms herein under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap.623 of the Laws of Hong Kong).
29. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China (“Hong Kong”). Any dispute arising under these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
30. Sun Life Hong Kong Limited is incorporated in Bermuda with limited liability.
31. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the Chinese and English versions of the Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
