Market Insights by Sun Life Asset Management (HK) Limited

On April 2, US President Trump announced the details of "reciprocal tariffs", which were more extreme than the market had originally expected, triggering violent fluctuations in global stock markets. Subsequently, the US announced a 90-day pause of implementation, stimulating a rebound in the stock market, reflecting that market sentiment was dominated by tariff news. However, the tariff policy has not been completely lifted. In particular, the US's reciprocal tariffs on China were not suspended but raised again.
