This year, Minions thrill fans in Hong Kong and pop up everywhere with their abundance of cuteness! Minions are so ready to have a fun day with everyone at Hong Kong Science Park this coming December!

“Sun Life Hong Kong 130th Anniversary Presents: Minions Run Hong Kong 2022”, duly authorized by Universal Studio, is organized by Running Aces Event Limited while Sun Life Hong Kong as the event title sponsor.

The event will be held on 27 December 2022, Tuesday (The first weekday after Christmas Day). Let’s party with Minions at Hong Kong Science Park!

In celebration of its 130th Anniversary, Sun Life Hong Kong celebrates this special moment and shares its joy by becoming the title sponsor of the much-anticipated event - Minions Run Hong Kong 2022.

On event day, there shall be 2 designated charity runs where Sun Life Hong Kong will make a donation of HK$130,000 to Diabetes Hongkong in support of the organization’s event coordination. Moreover, all runners can make an online donation to Hong Kong Federation of Handicapped Youth Momentum Academy (under Hong Kong Federation of Handicapped Youth) during registration. To encourage more donations, Sun Life Hong Kong will offer a donation matching where it shall financially match donations that the runners make. All funds raised will be donated to the Hong Kong Federation of Handicapped Youth Momentum Academy which provides a wide range of services for disabilities in different ages. We aim to raise public awareness and promote the positive value of disability inclusion. To celebrate the 130th anniversary of Sun Life Hong Kong, we are committed to serve the community in Hong Kong wholeheartedly. We will continue to contribute in harmony and inclusion promotion, and encourage the public to live healthier lives.”

Exciting Race Route with Minions

This year, the event will be held at Hong Kong Science Park. With its wonderful panorama of the sea and sky, Pak Shek Kok promenade is particularly suitable for running. Minions will be waiting for everyone at the“Golden Egg”! The distances of the race are extended, so everyone may have more time to enjoy the day with Minions!

Different distances and groups could be selected. Runners who are interested in 5KM run or 3KM run may choose from 3 groups: Super Minions Individual, Individual and Team of 2. This year, the group of Super Minions Individual is specially designed for fans, runners who choose this group will receive the classic "Minions Overalls" runner tee and Super Minions Limited runners’ pack. The popular Team of 2 is suitable for couples, friends and families to join together! Runners who are interested in 1.5KM may choose from 3 groups: Super Minions Individual, Individual and Family Team of 2. Parents may enjoy exercising with children aged 3 or above.

Running With Ease Or Running With Style? Why Not Both?

In order to meet the needs of competing for awards and runners who pursue speed and self challenge, awards of Champion, 1st Runner up and 2nd Runner up in the first group of 5KM Race (starting at 8:30am) were established by age and gender. The men's and women's categories will be divided into three age groups: Energetic group (Aged 12 - 34), Charming group (Aged 35 - 44) and Powerful group (Aged 45 or above). All finishers will receive a finisher medal and an e-certificate.
