Sun Life Hong Kong supports AFPB through charitable donation initiative

Hong Kong, Jan 1, 2023 – Sun Life Hong Kong Limited (“Sun Life Hong Kong” or “the Company”) announced that the Company will donate to the Asian Foundation for the Prevention of Blindness (AFPB) through the charitable donation initiative “Sending Love Together 130”, subsidizing disadvantaged cataract patients in Northern and Western Guangdong Province in mainland China.

The contribution is a further step in celebrating the company’s 130^th anniversary and commitment to corporate citizenship, following donations to three local food banks earlier last year which benefitted about 2,000 families. “Sending Love Together 130” jointly involves both Sun Life Hong Kong and advisors from six agencies.

This charitable donation initiative wouldn’t be such a success without the tremendous support of the distribution teams. Despite the rapid economic development in mainland China in recent years, there are still some remote areas that need support.
