Sun Life Hong Kong Crowned Insurance Company of the Year

Hong Kong, August 4, 2020 – Sun Life Hong Kong Limited (“the Company” or “Sun Life Hong Kong”) has recently garnered three awards from the 5th Asia Trusted Life Agents & Advisers Awards 2020, including the coveted prize of Insurance Company of the Year, recognizing the Company’s strength and accomplishment in the industry. Lachman B. Balani, an 81-year-old Financial Planning Manager from Sun Life Hong Kong, was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Chief Agency Officer, Jason Chou, received the Young Executive of the Year Award.

The 5th Asia Trusted Life Agents & Advisers Awards 2020 is organized by Asia Advisers Network and Asia Insurance Review to recognize and salute the best in the industry.  

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, early this year the Company launched a series of special measures in support of its clients, including waiver of waiting period and simplified application process for claims. Starting from March 2020, clients of individual insurance can, by using the My Sun Life HK app, choose to receive regular payouts of their policies through the Faster Payment System, without waiting for cheque delivery or going out, thus saving their time and sparing them from unnecessary concerns.
