Sun Life Honoured with Insurance Company of the Year at the 10th Annual BENCHMARK Wealth Management Awards

Organized by WealthAsia Group, the BENCHMARK Wealth Management Awards is an annual award recognizing banking, insurance and financial planning advisories which target the mass affluent segment. Sun Life was awarded Insurance Company of the Year, a recognition of the overall strength of the Company, its continuous efforts to provide clients with exceptional service, and outstanding performance in product innovation, human capital development, branding, corporate governance, client experience, digital technology, and risk management.

Sun Life was also awarded Accredited Professional Financial Planning Firm, Corporate Financial Education Leadership – Gold Award, and Corporate Financial Education Leadership for the Best Advocate at the IFPHK Financial Education Leadership Awards cum Accredited Professional Financial Planning Firm 2020. Presented by the Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong, these awards recognized the Company’s efforts to improve financial literacy levels in Hong Kong.

Launched in 2019, Vision is a participating insurance plan. Distributed from the beginning of the second policy year, Vision’s Monthly Coupons¹ is a steady source of income to support people in their retirement life. Vision is also an effective tool for wealth succession, as it offers up to 120 years of coverage and allows clients to change the insured of their policies to any family member aged 0 to 80², when needed, without restriction on the number of changes or extra costs.

To provide clients with diverse protection options, the Company launched WeHealth, a Voluntary Health Insurance Scheme (“VHIS”) Standard Plan, and WeHealth Plus, a VHIS Flexi Plan, in 2019.  The competitive premiums of WeHealth make it a good option for people who wish to build health protection.

Sun Life understands that insurance claims are critical to clients. With the Company’s Straight-Through-Processing system and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s Faster Payment System, Sun Life is able to settle and pay accident claims submitted through the My Sun Life HK app within 24 hours at the earliest³.

Sun Life strives to inspire its employees to live healthier lives. MyWellnessChoice is an enhancement launched in 2019 to further upgrade the Company’s employee medical plan.
