My Sun Life HK app Wins Two Awards for its Excellence

***Silver Award for Best App – Insurance Services and

Bronze Award for Best App – Financial Services at the Mob-Ex Awards 2019***

[Hong Kong, May 6, 2019] – My Sun Life HK, a mobile application of Sun Life Hong Kong Limited (“Sun Life” or “the Company”) for its individual insurance clients, has won Silver Award for Best App – Insurance Services and Bronze Award for Best App – Financial Services at the Mob-Ex Awards 2019, in recognition of its excellent interface, functionality and content, as well as contributions to enhancing the Company’s brand proposition and customer engagement.  


To offer further convenience, My Sun Life HK has just launched a new feature called Policy eContract to enable clients1 to receive and view the electronic version of their policy contracts upon policy issuance. Clients can acknowledge receipt of their policy contracts via the app without hassle anytime anywhere.

The eClaims feature launched in December 2018 demonstrates how My Sun Life HK creates values with its client-centric design. As claiming insurance could be a critical yet time-consuming process to clients, the eClaims feature of My Sun Life HK enables individual insurance clients to submit hospitalization and accident claims through the app2. With the Company’s Straight-Through-Processing system and the Faster Payment System infrastructure by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Sun Life will be able to settle and pay accident claims submitted through My Sun Life HK within 24 hours at the earliest3, much faster than with paper-based claim processes.


The solution provided by DBS in Hong Kong to support the eClaims feature has been  awarded Best Payment and Collection Solution at The Asset Triple A Treasury, Trade, Supply Chain and Risk Management Awards 2019.
