Sun Life Announces New General Manager

 

Hong Kong, October 31, 2019 - Sun Life Hong Kong Limited (“Sun Life” or “the Company”) today announced that Rainbow Pan will take over as General Manager, Wealth and Pensions, from Belinda Luk, who will retire on November 6, 2019, and remain as Special Advisor at the Company.

A Sun Life veteran for over 11 years, Belinda has inspired the Company’s Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes (“MPF”) and Group Life & Health business with remarkable achievements, notably the establishment of an advanced and enduring MPF business. Under her leadership, Sun Life has become the fourth largest MPF service provider in Hong Kong, rising eight places between 2008 and 2019.1 Affirmed by a multitude of industry accolades, Sun Life’s MPF service, with award-winning fund performance and outstanding service, is an ideal choice for the Hong Kong workforce .

Joining Sun Life on November 4, 2019, Rainbow will succeed Belinda as General Manager, Wealth and Pensions. In addition to leading and overseeing Sun Life’s pensions business, Rainbow will also be responsible for strengthening the Company’s wealth management capabilities, and accelerate the growth of the Group Life & Health business. She brings over 20 years of international experience as a senior executive in the financial services industry in Hong Kong, mainland China and Australia. Rainbow was most recently the Chief Partnership Distribution Officer at Tahoe Life, and was previously General Manager, Bupa Global for the Greater China Region.

Belinda will assume the role of Special Advisor following her retirement, and advise the Company on key strategic initiatives in her new capacity.
