Sun Life would like to remind MPF members to be cautious of suspicious calls seeking members to provide personal data. We are aware of individuals impersonating “Sun Life Withdrawal Department”, claiming to assist in withdrawing accrued benefits from MPF accounts.
We would like to clarify that we do not maintain any “Withdrawal Department” and our employees and intermediaries would not contact our Clients for the purpose of inviting them to withdraw MPF accrued benefit. Our call centre staff would not invite Clients to meet outside of our service center in Hung Hom, and our call centre staff never request Clients to withdraw MPF accrued benefits when assisting you in MPF related services. Customers and members of the public are advised not to provide any personal information and/or MPF account information to suspicious individuals.
We have made the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority aware of this kind of suspicious call activities. Customers or members of the public who have provided personal information to suspicious individuals, or have any query should call Sun Life Service Hotlines (852) 3183 1888, during office hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM; Saturday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
