Hong Kong, July 12, 2022 – Sun Life Hong Kong Limited (“Sun Life Hong Kong” or “the Company”) announced today that the Company will launch its first non-fungible tokens (NFTs) project, marking its 130th anniversary.

Followed by the new branding campaign “Change Into a Happier You”, Sun Life Hong Kong continues to celebrate the milestone through the launch of its first NFT collection. Chris Fung, Chief Client and Marketing Officer of Sun Life Hong Kong Limited, said, “We will launch an exclusive NFT collection themed around ‘130th anniversary’ and ‘Hong Kong’ that will be co-created with Yobe, a local illustrator. The design of the digital artworks will feature various aspects of living showcasing local culture and traditions. This series of digital collectibles marks our first step in entering the metaverse. In addition, we plan to include a number of different elements in the NFTs so as to create more exciting experience for our clients. We will also continue to integrate more online and offline interactions striving to take our innovation advancement to the next level.”
From now until September 30, the top 130 Clients who pay the highest amount of Annualized First Year Premium1 and the top 130 advisors with the best performance will each receive one unique Sun Life Hong Kong limited edition NFT2 for free. Clients who become the NFT holders can enjoy a premium rebate1 of up to HK$1,3003 in the next purchase. Furthermore, Sun Life Hong Kong will give away the NFTs to 130 selected staff.

1. From July 1, 2022, to September 30, 2022, both days inclusive, if Clients successfully apply for any insurance plans and such policy is issued by September 30, 2022, Clients would become one of the qualified participants (“qualified participants”), and the top 130 qualified participants who pay the highest amount of Annualized First Year Premium (“qualified Clients”) would each receive one unique Sun Life Hong Kong’s NFT for free.
2. NFT will be delivered after the campaign by February 28, 2023, to qualified Clients.
