Be Wary of Financial Crime

It has recently come to our attention that some clients have received messages from fraudsters impersonating Sun Life financial advisors asking them to withdraw their MPF accrued benefits and in return charged a commission or handling fee.

You are reminded to stay vigilant and watch out for fraud. We recommend you to:

  1. Watch out for bogus calls and messages.  
  2.  Keep your security software up to date. Do not disclose your account and personal information to any unknown third party.
  3.  Sun Life is not affiliated with any third-party websites or mobile applications. Our official website is www.sunlife.com.hk. You are reminded to ensure you are connected to our official website when you access our services and information. Please call our Client Service Hotline if in doubt.
  4. Most of our services are free of charge including:
  • Early withdrawal of MPF contribution under special circumstances in accordance with the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance.
  • Opening of MPF personal account
  • Consolidation of MPF personal accounts
