Alert: Fraudulent Promotion Activities

Hong Kong, February 23, 2022 – Sun Life Hong Kong Limited (“the Company”) would like to alert all clients and the public to stay vigilant against fraudulent promotion activities. Fraudsters claiming to be the Company’s advisors have been contacting clients by email and soliciting clients to purchase intellectual property insurance which is not the Company’s scope of business.  

If clients are concerned that they may have disclosed any personal information or have conducted any transactions through the fraudsters, they should immediately contact the Hong Kong Police Force Anti-Deception Coordination Centre at (852) 18222. 

The Company would like to remind all clients to stay vigilant and watch out for phishing emails and bogus calls.  Necessary steps should be taken to verify the identity of the caller or sender. Clients should call the Company’s Client Service Hotline (852) 2103 8928 when in doubt.  

The Company would never ask its clients to pay premiums by transferring or depositing money to bank accounts owned by any third parties.
